Next week is Staff Appreciation Week at Memorial!

We are asking parents and students to participate in staff appreciation by having the children to write a "thank you" to a special staff member and to drop it at the "Thank You Garden Station" in the lobby of the school.  And, of course, parents should feel free to add their own special note for their son or daughter to drop off for them.

CAMP INVENTION

Invent Now Kids is excited to bring the Camp Invention INNOVATE program - featuring all new activities - to the Bethel ParkSchool District. The weeklong program for children entering grades one through six will be held at Neil Armstrong Middle School June 21 - June 25. This exciting summer day experience immerses children in imaginative play that that inspires creativity and inventive thinking through hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). It is learning disguised as fun!

The camp invention program is a weeklong, nationally-acclaimed summer science and creativity day experience for elementary school children.  This is a unique Oportunity to help cultivate the ideas critical to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by encouraging exploration and curiosity through exciting, hands-on activities.  Helping to instill the understanding that science is everywhere, this inquiry-based approach fosters "whole system" thinkers.

Neil Armstrong Middle School teacher Lisa Machado will direct the Camp Invention program. Local educators will serve as program teachers, and enthusiastic high school and college students will serve as program counselors.

The registration fee includes a Camp Invention T-shirt. Register before March 31st or with a friend to receive $25 off the base price of $210. Availability is limited, so visit www.campinvention.org or call 800.968.4332 to reserve your child's spot today!
