VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR !!!
The Scholastic In-School Book Fair is scheduled to take place from February 23 through February 25 in school. We need parents to come in and help the children pick out their books.
The book selection at the fair is going to be based on the fall book fair selections and the spring collection will be available at the end-of-the-year, get-ready-for-summer reading fair which will be now be held in June.

CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER ASSEMBLIES
The Carnegie Science Center will be coming to Memorial on May 11, 2011 for two science assemblies for the students !!
This assembly is made possible through all of the Shop 'n Save receipts we save and turn in. Please continue to save your receipts and send them to school so we can be sure we collect enough for the assemblies!

FOURTH GRADE ACTIVITIES
SnoZone !!!!
February 20, 2011
The activity is open to all Memorial 4th graders and their families. The cost is $12 for children 12 and under and $15 for ages 13 and older. Pay at the door on the day of the event. The PTA will provide a hot chocolate for the 4th graders. Each rider must have a waiver signed by a parent, they will not be able to ride without it. The waiver can be found at www.snozone.net. The next meeting is scheduled for March. We are in need of parents and caregivers to take over the positions on the board whose terms are coming to an end. It is important to have these positions filled as to go into the next school year with vacancies on the Board will hurt our school and our children, so please consider volunteering.
Each term is for two years and the positions are as follows:

Treasurer
Assistant Treasurer
